Keukenhof Tulip Park, Netherlands

Day Trip from Amsterdam to Keukenhof Gardens

We travelled from Amsterdam to Keukenhof gardens one day. We ended up taking a bus to the Amsterdam Airport (a train accident blocked the tracks), then another bus transfer to Keukenhof Gardens.   That day was one of the sunniest days we experienced all month, of course, the forecast was rain.  The park is open annually from March through May.  There are 7 million tulip bulbs planted by hand.  If you're anywhere near the park in spring, it's a must-see.  It's hard to capture in pictures, although we tried.  We added a short You Tube link below to put the day in perspective.

  1. Great pics - we went a couple of weeks ago and everything was harvested already. I was so mad that they sold tickets after harvesting without warning us first.
